Depression has many faces and can disguise itself in many ways. Here is a test for you to determine if you or anyone you know is a victim of depression:
Little pleasure in doing things that were of interest at one point in your life.
Feeling down or hopeless about situations that you use to laugh about.
Having difficulty falling or staying asleep, or even sleeping entirely too much.
Feeling sluggish, tired, or lacking energy for no medical reason.
Overeating or poor appetite for your favorite foods.
Low self-esteem - feeling as though you are a failure or have let yourself down or disappointed your family.
Your level of concentration or retention is low when reading, watching TV or during a conversation.
Your movement is either too slow or too fast appearing to be lethargic or restless more so than usual.
Having thoughts of being better off dead, or hurting yourself in any way.
Difficulty doing your work, normal routines, or getting along with people you have always had close relationships with.
