Destination Happiness

When we wake up in the mornings we begin planning to go to various destinations; the bathroom, shower, kitchen, living room, gym, gas station, coffee shop, office, and the list goes on. We plan to achieve positive outcomes at each place.

What is most important in destination planning is not the physical outcome but the emotional results. How did we feel when each task at each destination was completed? Did we feel a sense of accomplishment, satisfaction, pride, contentment, joy, etc.? Focusing more on the emotional outcomes will cause us to plan more fulfilling destinations and eliminate those from our lives that bring us unnecessary grief.

Make happiness a destination and see where it emotionally leads you.
